CHILDREN & YOUTH
Children and young people are vital members of the church now, and they are the future of the church too.
At Brockley Community Church we believe in investing in our young people to help them to get to know Jesus and the Bible better, to support them in growing in their gifts and talents, and to realise their full potential as people within God's world.
Our Sunday services are designed to be accessible and have a relaxed format - so if our youngest people want to move around, shake shakers and bang on drums during the worship time, that's fine by us, and we encourage it. If the children are relaxed and happy, so are their parents and carers! After our time altogether, we then have sessions in different groups.
During our Sunday services we have a crèche for pre-schoolers, children's groups and a youth group. Each group is led by creative and passionate volunteers who are excited about seeing our youngsters grow and develop.
We love our children!
We want them to realise their full spiritual potential, and to make their church a place where they love to be. We encourage them to develop and use their gifts as members of the church family. We believe that following Jesus is exciting, and fun!
As part of our Sunday morning service we have a crêche, and two children's groups (Nursery - Yr 2 & Yr 3 - Yr 6) where we have interactive and fun times for our children to find out more about Jesus and his plans for their lives.
Brockley Community Church youth are aged 11-18 (Yr 7 - Yr 13) and meet regularly on Sundays and during the week.
We aim to create a non-judgemental and safe environment that enables our young people to explore their faith, discuss different issues, express their doubts, and ask questions about life, the universe and everything.
It's imperative that everyone feels safe at Brockley Community Church. We have a strict safeguarding policy in place and everyone who works with our children and young people have up to date DBS checks. Please ask us if you have any questions or you'd like to see the policy.
